In the notes app, you can view the options for the scanned document by tapping on its menu and hitting the share button. The share menu will give you options to iMessage, email, airdrop your document etc.

Simply tap the email icon and a new email compose window will pop up which already has the scanned document as an attachment. This works on an iPhone as well.

The cool thing here is that the entire note gets exported into an email format with all the note’s text and all the scanned documents attached. Even cooler is that the subject of the email is the title of the note. You just have to  enter an email address.
