What is the best USB Type C hub for M2 MacBook Air

The USB-C to Multiport adapter / dongle is an all in one solution for connecting peripheral devices to a MacBook that has only USB-C ports.

What is the best USB Type C hub?

This particular 6-in-1 adapter made by NewMight was a best seller on Amazon featuring:

  1. A 2.0 USB Port
  2. A 3.0 Type USB port for external hard drives
  3. An SDCard slot
  4. A MicroSD card slot
  5. An HDMI port; and
  6. A USB-C port

There is also a smaller 4-in-1 version of this multiport adaptor which is missing the SD Card slots. If you don’t foresee yourself working with SD Cards with your MacBook Air, then maybe that 4-in-1 adapter is more suitable for your needs.

Based on the thousands of good reviews of this product, I placed an order for it.

NewMight USB-C adaptor Build quality

This particular adapter by NewMight is built quite well. It comes with a sturdy aluminum casing and a strong braided chord for connecting to the Laptop.

I ordered this USB-C adaptor in a space grey color to match my M2 MacBook Air which I returned. I no longer have the Laptop but I still have the adaptor.
